Mysterious Creature Spotted At Australian Beach

The appearance of a mysterious red sea monster on a beach in Australia aroused the interest of thousands of people around the world.

It all seemed like a normal day for Debbie Higgs, who was walking on the Queensland state beach on Monday, but everything changed when she found a big surprise that has caused a worldwide mystery.

Debbie Higgs was the first to see this amorphous mass of reddish color lying in the middle of the beach, showing off its bright and colorful body with a mesmerizing pattern and colors. 

The eye-catching creature came in with the tide at Coral Bay on the West Australian coast.  

As she approached, she realized that it was some kind of sea monster that she had never seen. Impressed she decided to take some pictures of it and asked her acquaintances on Twitter if they knew what they were.

"I had no idea what it was. It's definitely not a plant. It looks fluffy like a jellyfish. It's 10 inches long. It's cold and it has a lot of smell," Higgs told News Australia.

Higgs took a picture of this mysterious bright red creature and tweeted it. It got tons of retweets and replies with people speculating what it could be.

Noticing the immense reaction generated by her picture, she decided to go back to the ocean, searched for the creature, wrapped it in a towel, and took it to her house. She left it in a bucket of saltwater until expert biologists determined what it was.

The Queensland Museum of Natural Sciences had told that it was difficult to determine what it was without being able to examine it. By looking at the picture, they said that this creature looks like a sea slug, 

However, scientists said that it is a species of mollusk called Hexabranchus sanguineus, which is also known as the 'Spanish dancer'.

Hexabranchus sanguineus lives in the depths of the Indian and Pacific Oceans and can grow up to 90cm in length. 

The blob-like animal shows off its bright color in a brilliant display underwater, riding on the seafloor. 

It swims underwater via undulating whirl like a red skirt of a flamenco dancer, and usually shy away from light, preferring to come out late at night.  

Hammerhead Shark Lurking Below The Swimmer

The terrifying video showed the person joyfully relaxing in clear blue waters off a beach in Miami, Florida but unaware of the danger lurking below him.

As per the Sharksider, hammerheads have a great ability to create sudden and sharp turns.

Jason McIntosh, a drone photographer from Miami, captured this frightening footage. 

On November 15, Jason was flying his drone over the ocean. Within 25 meters off from the shore, he captured this spectacular scene. 

He said to the Press that he was flying the drone just at the south beach of Australia, trying to capture some great footage. However, the raw footage turned into something great but terrifying at the same time. His passion was to shoot wildlife within the ocean.

He also said that he had never seen hammerheads swimming within the shoreline before.

When he saw the guy floating backward, his eyes began to light up as he saw the hammerhead shark circling the swimmer. Jason was far away from the swimmer and there was no way to warn him.

The clueless swimmer was not aware of the shark’s presence. When he saw the drone, he even gave the thumbs-up sign.

The shark eventually swam off and the swimmer was unharmed.

Hammerheads sharks are lovers of warm water. They often cruise in shallow water or near the surface for an extended period of time. 

Jason also said that the ocean belongs to them and not ours. We are in their environment. We are in their ocean.

His video has racked up over 100,000 views via Instagram. Many people who saw that video told Jason that it was epic footage.

The Hanoi city government on Tuesday urged residents to cut back on dog meat, arguing that the popular dish damages the image of the Vietnamese capital and risks spreading rabies.

Grilled, boiled or steamed, dog meat can be found in markets and grocery stores throughout the capital, famous for its tasty street food, and is often washed down with rice wine or beer.

But the Hanoi People's Committee on Tuesday urged its residents to go without dog meat to prevent the spread of rabies and other diseases.

They also asked to stop eating cat meat, often called "little tiger" on Vietnamese menus, which is less popular than dog but still readily available in rural areas.

The practice of killing animals is often cruel and the city government hopes it can be phased out, it said in a statement.

"The trade, killing and use of dog and cat meat caused a negative reaction among tourists and expatriates living in Hanoi," the statement said.

There are about 493,000 dogs and cats in the city, most of which are pets, and about 1,000 stores that sell animal meat.

Since the beginning of the year, three people have died of rabies in Hanoi and two others have been confirmed infected with the disease, according to official figures.

The capital of Vietnam is famous the world over for its street food, and its main dishes such as 'pho' noodle soup and 'banh mi' sandwiches are on menus around the world.

Hanoi city is also a good place to taste fried frog meat, duck embryo or turtle meat stew.

Female Tiger Kills Its Own Mate

Tiger kills his mate at the San Diego Zoo. A tigress died after being assaulted by her partner during a mating at the San Diego Zoo, when the interaction turned aggressive.

Malayan tiger died on Saturday from neck injuries and respiratory problems, the zoo said. It was the first meeting of the tigers, the only Malayan specimens in the zoo. Visitors to the park did not observe the attack.

"(The encounter) began as a friendly interaction between the cats. Unfortunately the dynamic quickly turned aggressive and zookeepers were unable to separate the animals," the organization said in a statement.

The tigers had rotated between the exhibit and their bedrooms to familiarize each other with each other's scent, zoo spokeswoman Jenny said. They had frequented and even sniffed each other while separated by a barrier, she added.

Their interaction led the keepers to believe that they were ready to interbreed.

There are 60 captive Malayan tigers in North American zoos, said Cassidy, general curator of the Omaha Zoo and Aquarium in Nebraska, which has two tigresses. Fewer than 500 Malayan tigers are believed to lead wildlife worldwide.

Fatal attacks are rare among cats, but their behavior can be unpredictable during mating, Cassidy said.

Tiga Tahun was born in 2009 at the Bronx Zoo.The tiger she was to meet was Connor, who was born at the San Diego Zoo in 2011. 

In November, a lioness died after being bitten on the neck by a lion at the Dallas Zoo in full view of visitors and families visiting the place.
